Shake off your January blues with this dynamic Introduction to Letterpress printing workshop run by Tom Boulton aka TYPETOM.COM

Over the course of 3 Tuesday morning sessions Tom will share his 10 years of Letterpress printing expertise and experiences. The 3 sessions will be crammed packed with tips and cheats from how to setup printing presses, how to get started, getting the best possible print, learn different inking techniques, where to get machines, maintenance advise, the history of Letterpress and tips on making products and mass production.

During the 3 sessions you will do many things!- Printing greetings cards on an Adana 8x5 Press, learn to cut lino and print it on letterpress machines. learn how to set and composite lead type, print personal stationery, get hands on with a selection on Tom’s wood block type collection printing your own unique poster using a 1950’s George Pallister Proofing press and if you’re a nice and lucky bunch get to pull a print on Handprinted’s newest acquisition – an iconic and legendary Albion printing press.

Tom Boulton aka TYPETOM.COM – Trained as a typographic designer going on to be a self taught Letterpress printer. With over 10 years experience Tom has been commissioned by the likes of Tate Modern, Fortnum and Mason, Southbank Centre, The Design Museum and has been featured in publications such as Creative Review, The Telegraph and Country Living and has twice featured at the London Design Festival.
